BIOGRAPHY:

Jiya has Asperger's Syndrome which means she is diagnosed within the highest functioning region of the autistic spectrum. She enjoys athletic sports, including running, yoga, walking, biking, pilates and hiking. She regularly completes 4+ mile exercising distances. 

Due to her notable athleticism, she has excellent insight into the textile engineering features most conducive to working out. In cohesion with a textile development consultant, she designed her prospective fabric to have features such as 4-way stretch, proprietary Coolmax, wicking, seamless construction and discreet pockets. Her dream is to construct her garment pattern, create her sample, manufacture and then distribute her sportswear outfit by participating in Dreamcatching.

The mock-up design for her inaugural outfit is modern, striking and fashionable. It can be viewed in her expanded biographical video in the 2025 Dreamers section of the website.

Jiya selected Autism Empowerment as her donor recipient to receive 25% of her net profits.
