BIOGRAPHY:

Willa has recurrent depression. She is a summa cum laude graduate of FIT (the #5 fashion school in the world). She didn't attend fashion school for the typical reasons: her intention was to identify how she could decrease garment-based pollution (the fashion industry is the 2nd most polluting sector behind oil processing).

Her dream is to create "The Screaming Closet," a traveling up-cycling workshop in which participants can come repurpose garments into new fashion designs. Workshops will be conducted via pop-up shops and up-cycled items will also be available for purchase online. Lastly, she will offer complimentary up-cycled styling in cohesion with women's shelters that service clients with severe mental illnesses.
